Georgia is blessed with a variety of delicious cuisine and a great history of wine. Traditional feasts called supra are led by Tamada – the toastmaster; a good Tamada is a poet, philosopher, social commentator, orator and singer who creates a beautiful atmosphere of community.
On this tour you will taste a vast number of delicious food in restaurants and private homes. We will not only taste the Georgian food, but also take part in cooking. Georgian feast is nothing if it’s not accompanied with wine drinking and singing. We’ll have an opportunity to taste BIO, homemade and factory wines, wines of different regions of Georgia and listen to the unique national polyphonic songs. Tbilisi sightseeing tour
Enjoy a full day tour of the capital, with its narrow streets or crooked houses and pretty old courtyards.Visit
Metekhi, many events of the history of Tbilisi are related to Metekhi Plateau and the Virgin Mary Church atop. A legend credits King Vakhtang Gorgasali with founding a church there. Walk down to Abanotubani (“district of baths”), the oldest part of Tbilisi. Baths built in the 17th-18th centuries have been preserved there and function to this day. Take the cable car up to Narikala Fortress. Walk down to Sulfur baths and Sioni church, the foundation of which was laid by king Vakhtang Gorgasali, the founder of Tbilisi. It is named after Virgin Mary and is home to one of the greatest relics of Georgia – the cross made by the enlightener of Georgia St. Nino. Visit the State Museum.

Tbilisi - Telavi
Drive along the 'Wine Route' passing through vineyards and wine-producing villages in Kakheti region, which is synonymous with Georgian wine. First stop - Signagi Royal Town, a stop on the Silk Road surrounded by defensive walls with 23 towers. Proceed to Velistsikhe to visit a local family’s old Marani, the wine cellar. In this wine cellar, wine is made according to ancient Georgian traditions in huge Kvevris - wine jars buried into the ground. Enjoy the lunch and wine tasting. Proceed to Telavi and enjoy the wine tasting at Shumi winery.
Take part in traditional Georgian feast accompanied by Georgian polyphonic songs and lead by Tamada(the toast master).
Overnight in Telavi at a local guesthouse.
Telavi - Tbilisi
Today will be spent exploring Telavi, visiting local vineyards, clay Kvevri(wine jar) workshop. Visit the Tsinandali palace-museum, the garden and palace of local prince Alexander Chavchavadze. Then be the guest of the local family and take part in the master class of Georgian food Chakhokhbili – the chicken stew. Then enjoy the lunch with the food cooked by you. Drive to Tbilisi.

Stop in sacred Mtskheta, the ancient capital of eastern Georgia, situated at the southern end of the Georgian Military highway. Georgia's conversion to Christianity occurred in Mtskheta in 337 AD and it is considered to be one of the most important religious centers in the country. Visit the Church of Jvari (UNESCO site) perched on a cliff overlooking the city and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (UNESCO site).
Visit the family of the famous BIO wine maker Iago. Excursion in the wine cellar which will be guided by Iago. Then taste the food typical for Kartli region.
Arrive in Meskheti Region. Dinner made of the local organic vegetable and fish. Enjoy the local wine tasting.
Overnight in Vardzia.
After breakfast drive to visit Vardzia cave town. Photo stop at Khertvisi Fortress. Then proceed to Kutaisi. En-route taste Imereti dishes – nigvziani badrijani(egg-plants with walnut stuff) Khachapuri(delicious cheese-bread), pkhali(cooked spinach and cabbage with walnuts), Imeruli cheese.
Dinner and overnight in Kutaisi.
Kutaisi - Batumi
Visit Gelati Monastery and Academy complex (UNESCO site). Travel to Samegrelo Region, known for its cheese 'Sulguni' and at a local family house learn and see how Sulguni cheese is made. Try the freshly made cheese and the local food. In the evening enjoy a short walking tour in the Old town. On the dinner taste traditional Ajarian(Black Sea region of Georgia) cuisine in the restaurant. Arrive Batumi – the beautiful city on the Black Sea.

Batumi – Tbilisi
Travel to Tbilisi. En route visit local family and have a master class in Khachapuri(Georgian cheese bread) making, taste the local wine and compare the wine cellar Marani of Imereti region with 'Marani' of Kakheti region. Arrive Tbilisi.
Gala dinner in Georgian restaurant with folk dances and Georgian polyphonic songs.
